Studio work in progress

The figure is a subject matter I always am drawn to and continually come back to as subject matter.  The structure, the anatomy of the human body is a constant fascination.  Its subtle twists and turns, the beauty of the contour line, the many parts to the whole is a constant challenge to capture.

This new series is a query of gender and sexuality and the many relationships which exist among men and women, women and women, men and men.  As the many synonyms for the word "relationship" are the many kinds existing: accord, affair, affiliation, affinity, alliance, analogy, appositiness, association, bond, communication, conjunction, contingency, correlation, dependence, exchange, kinship, likeness, marriage, rapport, interconnections, pertinence.............                                                           Vicky Tesmer, 2/2013
