Studio and Gallery News for Spring

The month of June marks our 5th year of weekly Art Camp. See postcard and call studio for more details: 312. 829. 1116

Latest Update from the Studio

With Spring days away, the studio is busy preparing for the upcoming season. Vicky and her assistants are working on their next mural, "La Primavera", an 8' x 9' canvas. "The Beach Series" are studies for this series of murals.

The sketches for the complete composition are being created. The subject matter represents love and friendship between women. It is the vernacular of female life, like the idealized art of the Renaissance. Vicky Tesmer has chosen the world of psuedo-fantasy for the first of this series of large murals. Like so many historical female artists (Mary Cassatt, Judy Chicago, Janet Fish and Georgia O'Keefe), the spiritual and mundane life of women has been their subject matter. The world of organic inter-relationships and the cosmic support and love of women's communities are celebrated in these compositions.
